Dave Taddei is the founder and director of Silver Lining. His background spans energy, defence, testing and cloud-native software: from control systems for remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to robotic manipulation and over-the-horizon operations in military and energy-sector programmes.

He has delivered cloud platforms, real-time analytics, and data pipelines for commercial and grant-funded projects, and has written on business intelligence, IoT, and cloud data platforms. At Silver Lining he focuses on outcome-based engineering for small businesses, charities, and grant-funded teams—combining hands-on experience in robotics and control systems with modern cloud, CI/CD, and data infrastructure.

Dave has trained software development teams in Scrum methodologies and modern software engineering practices across the globe. Building better teams and thereore better software is a core focus of Silver Lining to deliver highly stable and maintainable systems.
